Za několik uplynulých dní se vůbec nic zajímavého nestalo a zároveň mi dnes chybí inspirace, takže v zásadě ani nemám o čem psát. Mám sice přichystánu velkou dávku seriálů o všem možném, ale stanovil jsem si pravidlo, že dokud nebude na blogu ukončen jeden rozběhlý seriál (v tomto případě EKG), nebudu publikovat žádný další. Toť forma mého boje proti nedotahování věcí do zdárného konce.

Došel jsem ke zjištění, že pokud se do týdne trošku nedostanu do programování pro linuxí kernel a nenaučím se trošku pracovat ARM9, budu mít možná problém :) Zatím to vypadá, že na chvilku obětuji své PDA, jehož srdcem je nějaký StrongARM. Pokud byste věděli o jiném levném “vývojovém kitu” např. v podobě SOHO routerů, AP atd., tak napište. Na onom PDA jsem již linux provozoval, ale jednalo o již zkompilovanou distribucí Opie s prostředím QTopia. Tenkrát jsem si s tím trošičku hrál, ale dál než přes pár bashových skriptíků jsem se nedostal. Nicméně to vypadalo moc pěkně; prakticky ani nebylo vidět moc rozdílů mezi “dospělým” Linuxem. Musel jsem to ale dát pryč kvůli GPS navigaci. TomTom běží pouze pod Windows Mobile (ačkoliv se zdá, že původní aplikace je buď na windows portována a nebo je do velké části multiplatformní, protože sama společnost TomTom používá ve svém HW Linux). Dualboot také v úvahu nepřipadal, protože konfigurace celých woken se drží v RAMce. Nějak už se s tím poperu.

    to je na tom právě to pikantní - aplikačka je původně linuxová, ale samostatně jí uvolňují jen pro WM a když bys jí chtěl pro linux, tak máš smůlu. Pěkně mě to štve, neboť na mém postarším PDA běží jen WM 2003 (teď ani nevím) a jediné, na co je to použitelné je právě ta navigace, protože systém je naprosto _otřesný_. Opie byla použitelná podstatně lépe, ale navigace mě chyběla, protože to byl primární účel, pro který jsem to celé kupoval.
